NEW partnership
In late December 2023, STEP ENGINEERING Srl made a strategic step in its development: the majority stake (95%) was acquired by BRT – ENGINEERING – FIELD – INNOVATION S.R.L. This operation has allowed STEP ENGINEERING to integrate into a broader and more structured group, strengthening its capacity to offer "360-degree" integrated solutions for both civil and industrial engineering.
In the new configuration, Eng. Paolo Trapella maintains his role as Technical Director, ensuring full continuity of the high-quality standards and technical expertise that have always distinguished our company.
2023
STEP ENGINEERING Srl was founded in November 2012 by Eng. Paolo Trapella, Eng. Marco Vallieri, and Dr. Ambra Trapella. The company was established with the goal of operating in the field of plant engineering with a specialized approach.
The new entity inherited its professional roots and know-how from the long-standing experience of its founders, gained at the historic professional firm S.TE.P. Snc. This background immediately ensured a solid foundation of expertise, particularly in the design of electrical and mechanical systems.

FOUNDING
From the outset, STEP ENGINEERING Srl’s activity has focused on the design and site supervision (Works Management) of complex systems—including heating, cooling, HVAC, air treatment, and electrical systems—for major public and private buildings. A key differentiator is our deep expertise in the hospital sector, where focus on safety, environmental comfort, and energy efficiency is critical.
Every project is developed with a specific emphasis on energy savings, the use of renewable sources, lighting design (illuminotecnica), and safety management throughout the design and execution phases (Safety Coordination).
